A New Beginning!

It has been 2 months since the last blog’ing and of course the closure of the physical House of RTS gallery.

For those of you that were not there, “The Last Show” was FANTASTIC! I had spent the last 2 previous months painting like a mad woman in hopes to create a great show, and I did! A full house and a SOLD out show!

Since then, I have spent my time enjoying family and friends, the great outdoors and of course my FREEDOM!!!

So now, “WHAT’S NEXT” everyone asks?

Well, here it is…

THE ART OF JOSEE ST AMOUR

josee@joseestamour.com

There is a new vision and a new platform in Josee St Amour’s artist path and you can be a part of it! A new program is being formed for the unveiling of the 2012 Private art Collection.  Interested Patrons will have the privilege of selecting first hand their artwork from the whole collection at a substantially discounted rate.

Here is how it works:

There will be 3 Categories

Painting Dimension               Retail Value             Share Price

1.   3ftx4ft approx*                     2000.00                      1000.00

2.   4ftx6ft approx*                    4000.00                      2000.00

3.   6ftx8ft approx*                    6000.00                      3000.00

(*size may vary depending on diptych’s and triptych’s and shapes)

Process:

December 2011 Josee ST-Amour enters in contract with a selected group of the Art Patrons for the 2012 West Coast Exhibition a year from starting date..

December 2012 (at the appointed date), a private wine and cheese (5-7pm) reception will be held for the participating Patrons and their families where the unveiling of the 2012 art collection will take place.

Once Patrons have all had the chance to view and appreciate the exhibition, the assembled group will begin the selection process.

Names of Patrons will be randomly pulled from a hat.

The first names to be drawn will be those of Group 1 Patrons. When a name is called, that person is given their name card to place on the painting of their choice.

After all Group 1 Patrons have made their selection, Group 2 Patrons names will be drawn, followed by group 3 Patrons.

Category1 Patrons may select 1 painting from their own category.

Category 2 Patrons may select 1 painting from their own category or 2 paintings from category 1

Category 3 Patrons may select 1 painting from their own category or 1 painting from category 1 and 1 painting from category 2 or 3 paintings from category 1.

After the selection process is complete, the remainder of the exhibition paintings will be available to the public viewing at which time the prices of the paintings revert back to their full retail level.

Note:

To insure equal opportunity in the selection process, the artist will produce more paintings than required by the selection process.

Privileges

Private unveiling of exhibition over a wine and cheese.

All Artwork at a substantial discount (participating Patrons only)

Opportunity for Patrons to “upgrade” their investment to a larger painting can be made after that higher group of Patrons has had the opportunity to select their paintings and must be done and paid before the Public viewing.

A Patron may purchase additional paintings from the collection at 30% from the time the selection process is over to the opening of the public viewing. Paintings cannot be discounted for guests of Patrons.

Why is the Project offered at a discount?

Patrons investing in Josee St-Amour’s 2012 Exhibition receive a discount for the following reasons:

They place their complete trust in the artist to produce and exhibition of quality.

The artwork, for which they are paying immediately for, has not yet been produced.

Patrons need to wait 1 year before they see and receive their artwork.

Patrons do not know what paintings will be theirs until their name is drawn from a hat and they are finally able to make their selection.

Finally,

A home with art is a home with energy and spirit. It connects us to our authentic craftsmanship and deep intuitive energy that is painted on canvas.

This support will assist me to continue my life’s ART – work and help me grow within my philosophy of living artfully with mind, body and soul. Art is my passion,  my inspiration to life and my heaven on Earth, so join in and be a part of it!

Because,

C’est la joie de vivre!

New @ the gallery!

MIA SANDNER and her exquisite skatedecks!

MIA was born and raised in the dirt of a small town called Christina Lake, BC.  She continued on to obtain her BFA from SFU in Vancouver. Never straying far from the mountains, MIA then lived in Whistler for 3 years, working as a Snowcat mechanic’s assistant and making paintings for art shows in her spare time.  She currently resides in Nelson where she has a home studio so she can paint, skateboard and  snowboard full time.

Greatest Wine Labels!

Have you notice how much more fun it is now, shopping for wine !?

It doesn’t feel so intimidating anymore, reading the “blends” and looking for something you know nothing about!

I now enjoy getting a wine for it’s label!

It makes for a great table conversation, it doesn’t cost a whole pay check and you get to drink it !

Now that is PRACTICAL art! How clever, combining art and wine into a booze gallery!

So get out there, enjoy the wine art duo! Bring it to a first date, a friends dinner party or simply home with you, I bet it will keep you good company!

Here are just a few of my fav’s!

A Mother’s Kiss

Like multi-coloured marbles in the hand of God, we are always at the mercy of a higher power.

We don’t have control, so sometimes we have to let the magic of the world show us how we are all connected.

Everything makes sense.

In another lifetime, there was a big beautiful tree that provided homes to all types of life, including a mother owl and her two babies in their hard-earned nest.

It was a beautiful, peaceful and gentle place where they could hear the calls of the wild, the wind of our Mother and the silence of all there is.

But then loud, ugly noises started lurking about. An eerie sense of endings and death had taken over. Friends and family were no longer singing or visiting. Keeping her babies safe from the storms had gotten much harder. Grounds were unsettled, tree tops were disappearing and the air was getting thinner.

Then it struck; her home was next. Reality was knocking and it was knocking hard, so she gave her babies all the kisses she could and told them they had to go.

I don’t know where they went, but I do know they were here. Here with me, here with this piece of wood and here to tell a story to whoever would listen.

This piece of wood is no longer lifeless; it tells a story and it builds our nests. I believe that all the natural world asks for is gratitude, and respect for the walls that shield us and the nests we live in.

Building homes out of our forests isn’t about to end. But if we understand and acknowledge its impact from a new perspective, we can live with more grace and love.

That was their legacy,

their energy

and their message.
